Chicago's outdoor party season runs roughly from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, with the absolute busiest months being June, July, and August. During these months, rental companies are booked solid on weekends — especially Saturdays. Popular inflatable styles (waterslide combos, large obstacle courses) can be reserved months in advance for summer Saturdays.
If your party date falls in this window, the earlier you book the better. Waiting until three or four weeks before a July Saturday birthday isn't impossible, but your inflatable choices will be limited to whatever hasn't been claimed yet.
Book 4–8 weeks in advance to ensure you get your first choice of inflatable style and time slot. These dates go fastest.
Book 2–4 weeks in advance. Demand is lower than summer, but weekends still fill up, especially around school holidays and spring break.
Book 1–2 weeks in advance. Weekday availability is generally much better. Some companies offer lower weekday rates, though Pure Play's rate is the same year-round.
